Wind-Tunnel Proposal May Help Produce Consistent Data

The American Society of Civil Engineers has released for public comment a draft of the first-ever wind-tunnel test standard in the U.S. The standard, which has been in development since 1994, would satisfy a call from the National Institute of Standards and Technology for nationally accepted performance standards for wind tunnel tests and for estimating wind loads and their effects on tall buildings based on test data and directional wind speed data.
