For over 30 years, the U.S. has gone through a series of energy crises. Starting with the Arab oil boycott of 1973, a new movement toward alternative energy sources began. But the alternative energy movement only now seems to be picking up traction. Part of the evidence is the growing awareness—from large corporations to smaller firms—of sustainable or "green" buildings.
