Implosion Of Club Med, St. George, Bermuda

Demolition Dynamics Company recently completed the first ever building implosion in the history of Bermuda. This historic event had a far reaching effect on the country of Bermuda. The former Club Med Hotel sat on a hilltop above the British fortification of St. Catherine near the town of St George, Bermuda; the hotel site was considered one of the best land and ocean views in Bermuda. This site was originally developed and leased in the early 70's as a Holiday lnn and was eventually transformed into a Club Med resort. In 1989 the resort suffered severe Hurricane damage and was abandoned except as a refuge for the local homeless.
