Concrete Forming Panels Shape Future High School

The new Republic High School in Springfield, MO, is on a tight deadline to finish before the 2009-2010 school year. For general contractor Branco Enterprises Inc. the challenge is to keep construction moving as smoothly as possible even through difficult winter -weather conditions common to the area. Overall, the project includes over a mile of 12 in. thick x 20 in. tall knee and stern walls that form the school's tilt-up and block perimeter wall. Branco Enterprises needed a forming product that would stand up to repetitive pours, support the heavy 50-ft concrete slab walls, and withstand the moist weather conditions that would delaminate a typical B-B plyform concrete forming panel.
