Photo Contest Judges Mix Art, Editing, Safety

This year's photo contest-ENR's seventh-brought an improved system for uploading electronic images. The 800-plus responses included many returning contestants along with many new ones. The winning photos take us to all kinds of construction sites, from tall buildings to bridges and tunnels. Joining me on the judging team this year were both new judges and veterans. One of the first-time judges was Francesca Messina, McGraw-Hill Construction's new group art director. "It was a crash course in both complexity and the visual drama of this industry," she says. "Great choices overall."
