World's Longest Bridges

Few things cheer the heart of an engineer or contractor like the sight of a new bridge. China's Edong Bridge, the world's third-longest cable-stayed bridge, is one of the spans you'll see and read about in the Jan. 2 digital issue of ENR. It is part of our special package on the world's 10 longest cable-stayed bridges. A week later, the winners of ENR's annual photo contest will be posted on ENR.com, where the winning photos will appear in a special slide show. The next week, we will announce the Top 25 News makers for 2011. Also, for the first time next year, the "Best of the Best Projects" competition will have an "Editors' Choice" winner—one project will be selected for the top honor from among the national winners. We're making sure that 2012 will be the richest year yet for news, analysis, video and photography on ENR.com.
