Dykon Brings Down TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium

When a team becomes top rated, fans and alumni alike begin calling for a new state-of-the-art press box. At least that was the case for the Amon G. Carter stadium located on the Texas Christian University campus in Fort Worth, TX. A call for the stadium, built in 1930, to be replaced put Billy Nabors Wrecking in motion to demolish the existing stadium. Nabors contacted Jim Redyke with Dykon Explosive Demolition Corp. of Tulsa, OK, to do the explosive portion of the job. Jim Redyke has been in the business for well over 30 years and earlier in the year had taken down the famed Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. He seemed the natural choice for such a job as the TCU stadium.
