Architects Group Launches 'Match.com' for Stalled Projects

On Nov. 7, the American Institute of Architects launched an online database for stalled projects to match developers, architects and other industry leaders with investors and flinders. The find-a-busi-ness-partner initiative aims to help architects and their clients find a solution to the "primary issue plaguing the design and construction industry: access to credit," says the ATA. Also on Nov. 7, AIA released a nine-page report-"Stalled Construction Projects and Financing"-which concludes that the major obstacle to U.S. job creation is the lack of construction financing.
