Airports Reduce Pavement Maintenance Costs

Mac Crenshaw Memorial Airport in Greenville, Ala., exemplifies a trend in surface-area maintenance. The airport applied E-KRETE~® overlay in their parking and fuel-service areas which is saving them money on pavement maintenance and making the surface areas cooler. "We have a lot of military helicopter traffic that touches down in our parking area," says Airport Manager Travis Capps. "We get gouges from the skids. Before the E-KRETE~® application, these gouges led to deterioration of the asphalt. The E-KRETE~® Overlay is hard. It doesn't deteriorate."
