Consider Heavy Lift and Transportation Needs Early for Cost-Effective Solutions and Optimized Projects

While front-end engineering design is a part of most projects, especially those of large scale, an important aspect that is sometimes overlooked is that of heavy lift and transportation needs. The team at Burkhalter too often sees clients wait to consider these factors until late in the project, after much work has already been done. Common mistakes seen are the lack of consideration for what heavy lifting equipment is required, the space necessary for the equipment onsite, as well as fabricating equipment in one location without determining how it will get to its final destination.
