Pre-Engineered Buildings Facilitate Power Plant Assembly

Fenix Power Peru is constructing a $700-million, 520-MW combined-cycle thermal power plant in Chilca, about 65 km south of Lima, Peru. In advance of construction, Fenix Power needed a place to assemble turbines, store electrical equipment and materials, and provide services for nearly 300 workers. Fenix Power Peru called on Sprung Structures, a manufacturer of pre-engineered stressed membrane structures, to support construction over the next three years.
