2013 U.S. Energy Portfolio Diversifies, Cuts Greenhouse Gases

(AEO2O13) Reference case prepared by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts that renewable fuel will grow at a much faster rate than fossil fuel in the years ahead. Of particular note is the significant increase in wind power. EIA currently estimates that wind capacity will increase by 7% in 2013 and by 10% in 2014, while electricity generation from wind is projected to increase by 15% in 2013.
