Water Infrastructure Needs a Capital Infusion

The water and wastewater infrastructure in the United States is vast, complex and in many cases very old. Much of this infrastructure was constructed decades ago, with some facilities put in place around the turn of the last century. This aging, overstressed system is in need of upgrades, repairs, replacement and expansion. On top of that, the continuing drought throughout many parts of North America highlights the need for new and more efficient water-source systems.
