Installing sanitary sewer infrastructure in coastal regions is often tricky. Soils can be a varied mix of sand and clay, with the added challenge of groundwater management during excavation and installation. In one recent case, a contractor on a sanitary sewer infrastructure project in a large Gulf Coast metropolitan area looked to resolve inherent soil condition challenges and provide continuous soil support during the excavation and installation of 400 ft of sanitary sewer.
