Senate Committee Aims for Highway Bill Vote by August Break

While there is little or no visible progress in Washington on a wide-ranging infrastructure mega-bill, Senate Environment and Public Works Committee leaders are pushing ahead on their version of a highway reauthori-zation bill, a legislative priority for engineering and construction firms. Committee Chairman John Bar-rasso (R-Wyo.) planned an Aug. 1 vote of his panel on the bill, spokesperson Sarah Durdallertold ENR on July 22.
