SEPTA Successfully Implements Life-Saving Positive Train-Control System

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) recently implemented a new positive train-control (PTC) system on its regional rail system-a sophisticated and complex 13-line network spanning 474 track miles and five counties. SEPTA is one of the country's first transit operators to organize, plan and successfully complete PTC installation efforts.
