ARKANSAS Highland Pellets LLC is planning to construct a wood fuel pellet plant on a 300-acre site in Stephens. The project scope includes construction of building space; purchase and erection of , structural steel; and purchase and installation of four production lines including wood waste receiving and handling equipment, bucket elevators, coolers, storage silos, screens, and hammer and pellet mills. The plant will have the capacity to produce 750,000 metric tons of wood pellets per year. Construction is expected to begin in late 2019. The plant will operate as Highland Pellets South LLC.
