New 27-Mile-Long TEXRail Line Opens to North Texas Commuters

With nine commuter rail stations situated between downtown Fort Worth and the DFW International Airport, the newly constructed TEXRail line recently opened to passengers. The rail system adds a new route to the area's existing DART and Trinity Railway Express lines and is projected to serve more than 8,000 daily riders by the end of 2019-and nearly 14,000 daily riders by 2035. The train cars themselves are state of the art, equipped with enhanced safety systems and amenities such as work tables, bike racks and USB outlets. A full 27-mile-long ride will take about 52 minutes at speeds up to 70 mph.
