Surety bonds play a key role in this process and, for that reason, surety capacity remains strong. However, sureties must not turn a blind eye to alternatives that may be available in the marketplace. To stay competitive, sureties cannot be complacent and continue the mind set of "that is the way we have always done it."Claims services is a surety's product. Too often, a surety's first response to a claim is to request documentation to initiate an investigation.
