D.C. Transportation Veteran Linda Bauer Darr Is Set To Lead ACEC

Linda Bauer Darr hasbeen named president and CEO of the American Council of Engineering Cos., effective in August, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, which announced on June 6 her resignation as president, a post she has held since 2014. The group represents 600 short line and regional railroads and supply firms. Bauer Darr also was CEO of the American Moving & Storage Association and was a U.S. Transportation Dept. deputy assistant secretary for budget and programs in the Clinton administration. She is set to succeed David A. Raymond, who is retiring from the role at the 5,000-member ACEC after 19 years. He joined in 1999. AnACEC spokesman says the group's board will vote on Bauer Darr's hiring in July.
