摘要

A new concept of Characteristic Flow Area (CFA) of steam turbine is presented in this paper. Flugel formula and the calculation method of CFA of steam turbines which take 600MW supercritical units made in China as the research object, and off-design condition calculation and features analysis of CFA is presented in this paper .The results show that the steam turbine's CFA unchanged when the units' flow area doesn't change the size, off-design condition calculation accuracy and good performance totally fits the project requirements. CFA can be used for thermal characteristic analysis, establishing precise profiles of the thermo-parameters, performing accurate calculation of off-design condition and for diagnosis and monitoring of steam turbine operation, etc.
