The endoscope system consists of a hot mirror for coaxial transmission ofrnvisible light and a neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser beam, and an opticalrngalvano scanner for steering the laser beam from the endoscope tip," scientists in Tokyo, Japanrnreport.
