The Office of Fossil Energy (OFE) division of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) has produced the second edition of the Carbon Sequestration Atlas of the United States and Canada.rnThe atlas provides a coordinated update of carbon capture and storage (CCS) potential across the majority of the U.S. and portions of Canada, with its primary purpose being to document differences in supply and capacity by the Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnerships (RCSP).rnThese RCSP comprise public/private cooperative efforts tasked with developing guidelines for the most suitable technologies, regulations and infrastructure needs for CCS in different regions of the U.S. and Canada.
