The recent economic turmoil hitting the financial institutions and major industries will have a significant impact on all areas of the electricity sector in Ontario.rnEach segment of the sector will feel the impact as distributors will be affected as customers either close down or significantly curtail operations and therefore electricity consumption.rnGeneration project developers will have more difficulty financing the projects.rnProviders of conservation and demand management will be challenged by the conflict of extracting the greatest value for each energy dollar spent today with an inability to invest in the necessary infrastructure for such projects that would have long-term benefits.
