Canadian electricity exports to the United States for June jumped to just over 6 065 gigawatt hours, almost 37% higher than compared to the 4 433 gigawatt hours in 2007, according to the latest National Energy Board (NEB) data. The bulk of the improvement was attributable to firm contracts at just over 2 093 gigawatt hours, up from 1171 gigawatt hours last year.
