The provincial cabinet is pondering the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP) recommendation for an 8.5 % rather than the requested 13% hike for electricity rates proposed by the Crown-owned utility.rnThe recommendation was in the SRRP report presented to the Crown Investments Corporation Minister Ken Cheveldayoff regarding the fairness and reasonableness of the proposed rate increase by Saskatchewan Power Corporation.rnThe minister and cabinet will make a final decision on the SaskPower rate increase requested.
