The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP) has set hearings in February on the Crown utility's plans to increase electricity rates in the province.rnSaskatchewan Power Corporation is seeking a 13% system average hike, effective May 1.rnRate increases filed by SaskPower include:rn1. 13.3% for urban residential;rn2. 13.2% for rural residential;rn3. 14.8%forfarm;rn4. 12.3% for urban commercial; 5. 12.5% forrural commercial;rn6. 14.5% for the power contract;rn7. 12.1%for oilfield;rn8. 17.4% for streetlight; and 9. 13% system average.rnThe SRRP advised that consumption and modifications to the basic monthly energy charge would affect the average increases projected.
