1. Cellnex and Deutsche Telekom have agreed to combine their tower businesses in the Netherlands. The two parties will also set up a joint fund to invest in digital infrastructure across Europe. 2. With investment in fibre, mobile towers and data centres set to grow, Europe’s digital infrastructure market will continue to offer opportunities. 3. We do not rule out an expansion of the joint fund’s focus to edge computing going forward, strengthening our view that collaboration between telcos and towercos on this front remains a viable option.
