The Polish telecoms regulator UKE, has begun a public consultationrnon the auction of spectrum in the 800MHz and 2,600MHzrnbands. The regulator has already completed the sale of 1,800MHzrnspectrum earlier in 2013, assigning frequencies to P4 (Play) andrnPolska Telefonia Cyfrowa (T-Mobile Poland). The move to auctionrnoff further spectrum should allow rival companies to acquirernfrequencies for the national provision of 4G services. BMI believes Emitel in particular will be interested in placing a bid, and identifiesrnopportunities and risks to the company's outlook.
