Alinda Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Poland's nationalrntransmission infrastructure operator Emitel for an estimated PLN3bnrn(US$968mn). Alinda has yet to specify its post-acquisition strategyrnfor Emitel but, with an established network of 377 radio and televisionrntransmission towers and expertise in establishing and managingrnin-building and exterior telecoms networks, BMI believes Alindarnsees investment opportunities in the mobile towers sector. If so, thisrnwould mirror recent developments in the Czech Republic which, inrnturn, could establish the template for telecoms infrastructure dealsrnin 2014 and beyond.
