We have previously argued that Turkey-based Coca Cola Iceçek (CCI) nhad a good chance of being the fastest growing major franchise bottler nof The Coca-Cola Company (Coke) over the next fve years – just as nit has been over the last fve. Owned by Anadolu Efes, CCI continues nto shift a lot of volume, with total soft drinks sales up by 17.7% over nthe six months to June 2011. Strong results are being driven both by the nperformance in Turkey and CCI’s strong Central Asia-focused interna-ntional business, which particularly distinguishes it from companies with na lot of exposure to slow-moving Western economies, which emerging nmarkets (EMs) have to smooth over to at least some extent.
