摘要

Steel making produces prodigious quantities of waste gases, laden with dust and particulates. Environmental considerations require these to be removed before the gases are vented to the atmosphere. Unfortunately this causes a serious technical problem for the steel producer - what this is and how it has been overcome is the subject of this article.
