Micromax appoints senior executives from Airtel, HTC & Sony Ericsson

In a management shake-up to strengthen its position in smartphone segment, domestic handset maker Micromax has roped in Bharti Airtel's Director Deepak Mehrotra as the new CEO. Earlier, Mehrotra was serving as Operations Director (Mobility Business) at Bharti Airtel. Besides Deepak Mehrotra, Micromax has also appointed officials from Sony Ericsson and HTC to push sales of its feature phones and smartphone divisions.
