SIR tests point ALSTOM down cleaner path

ALSTOM's T&D Protection and Control division recently had surface insulation testing (SIR) testing done at NPL to assist in the company's aim of environment friendly improvements. One change under investigation is that of moving to a water based wave solder flux, and to assess the effectiveness of their PCA cleaning process. EM&T reports.
