Putting manufacturing on the map

The 2009 Roadmap is the result of the efforts of over 550 individuals from 250 organisations located in 18 countries on four continents. Every two years, the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) maps the future manufacturing technology needs of the global electronics industry. The purpose is to identify key technology and infrastructure developments necessary to ensure the competitiveness of the supply chain over the next decade. It also helps set priorities for research and development, and is used by industry as well as government funding agencies and university-based research programmes.
