CICC papers showcase circuit innovations

The 25th annual IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC) will showcase innovative circuit techniques. Significant accomplishments to be described at this year's conference will include the following: In the area of bioelectronics systems, engineers from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (Washington, DC), Raytheon RVS Corporation (Go-leta, CA), and Doheny Eye Institute (Los Angeles, CA) will describe the development of a neural-stimulating array used in a retinal prosthesis device. The 80 x 40-cell array uses a glass matrix comprising several hun- dred thousand micro wires to interface to a curved retinal surface.
