Electromechanical switches. We, as users of electronic devices, generally abuse these poor components. We push and pull them too fast, turning them far past their breaking points, or press them too hard. It's nothing personal, of course. The switch represents really a user's only way of getting the attention of whatever electronic circuit is supposed to be working behind the scenes. That fact alone should behoove EEs to take care in selecting the right switch for their designs. So, we've included some recently introduced devices to help keep you up to date with what's available.
