The new BlackBerry Bold 9000 from Research in Motion is the company's first smart phone to support tri-band HSDPA and Wi-Fi (802.Ha/b/g) networks, and has a 624-MHz mobile processor with a BlackBerry OS 4.6 platform for e-mail, streaming video, or surfing the Web. The phone also includes 128 Mbytes of flash memory plus 1 Gbyte of on-board storage memory, and a microSD/SDHC flash memory card slot, allowing users to download Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files and edit them directly on the handset using the preloaded DataViz Documents to Co suite. Its rechargeable 1,500-mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of talk time and 13 days of standby time. The phone also offers a suite of video and audio formats, including Roxio Media Manager for BlackBerry and Roxio Photosuite 9 LE. Other key features of the BlackBerry Bold include an integrated GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, full QWERTY keyboard, 2-Mpix-el camera, and a half-VGA (480 × 320 resolution) color LCD.
