The models 2705B, 2708B, and 2709B autoranging handheld DMMs offer a full set of features, yet are priced between $65 and $99. All three 9-V-battery-powered instruments feature large LCDs, single-handed operation, and common measurement capabilities that include Vdc to 1,000 V, Vac to 750 V, ac/dc current to 10 A, resistance measurement, and diode and continuity test. The 2708B and 9B also make true-rms measurements, and the 2709B provides capacitance measurement too. Every unit comes with a magnetic hanging strap, a drop-resistant case, and a one-year warranty.
