Disk lasers offer 65-W power, 2,000-ns pulses

Operating at a wavelength of 1,030 nm, the Jenoptik Jenlas IR50 and IR70 disk lasers provide adjustable pulses from 200 to 2,000 ns and power levels up to 65 W. The lasers'rnadjustable rep rates and superior beam quality suit them for a variety of applications, including metal and emitter wrap-through solar-cell fabrication, wafer dicing/scribing, and other micro-machining applications. The IR50 provides 800 to 200-ns pulses and 5 Mj of energy at 8 kHz with 45 W of power at 30 kHz. The higherenergy IR70 provides 650 to 1,700-ns pulses and 7 Mj of energy at 8 kHz with 65 W of power at 30 kHz. (Contact Derek Roland for pricing and availability.)
