The NV7050SA high-frequency VCXO can obtain frequencies up to 700 MHz - through high-frequency fundamental-mode crystals - without the use of PLL frequency multiplication methods. The result is the reduction of phase jitter as low as 38.0 fs (100 fs max) - claimed by the company to be a reduction of more than 80% when compared to previously available products in this class. The company also claims that the 7.0 × 5.0 × 1.6-mm part occupies just 10% of the volume of comparable VCXOs on the market.
