The IEEE 802.16 and 802.11 families of standards specify broadband and high data rate wireless connectivity. The higher the data rate of a transmitted signal, the higher the signal-to-noise ratio required for the system. Emission regulations may also require additional filtering. Designing an optimal multistage Tchebysheff filter with high harmonics rejection is challenging due to size and cost limitations.
