UPSs combine n + 1 options, hot-swappable architecture

Nine new models of the SmartOn-line UPS System offer power capacity from 12 to 20 kVA. They integrate electrical input, output, and data connections of two UPS systems via a single, detachable, parallel PDU-in an 8U rack space. The systems provide nonredundant operation at 100% capacity, or full redundancy at 50% capacity.rnThe UPS systems have a output power factor 0.9 and deliver 18 kW in 12 rack spaces. They operate with 97% efficiency and feature a detachable PDU with a manual bypass option that enables hot-swappable service. They feature network power monitoring and management and are available with power conditioning from double conversion operation with zero transfer time.
