Solderless socket integrates multichip LED into light fixtures

The solderless Type CM LED socket eases integration of the Cree XLamp MP-L multichip LED into light fixtures. The socket provides a repeatable and separable termination solution for the XLamp MP-L LED's six 0.60-mm~2 connection pads while allowing ample optical clearancernfor unlensed applications. For lensed applications, thernsocket incorporates a snap-onrnconnect feature for the LEDILrnTyra series of reflectors, whichrnoffer directional optics in 18~°,rn30°, and 50° beam angles. The socket meets UL 1977rnrequirements and is offered inrntwo versions to suit wire orrnboard applications. Each version comes with or without attachment features for optics.
