Powering medical ultrasound imaging

Medical ultrasound imaging can be used to visualize internal organs without puncturing the skin or introducing radiation as some other imaging systems like endoscope, computed tomography (CT), or X-ray imaging. Additionally, ultrasound is less expensive and more portable than non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The growth of ultrasound usage appears to be a strong trend for years to come.
