New true fail open tantalum capacitor

摘要

The T496 high-reliability fused COTS MnO_2 series tantalum surface-mount capacitors from KEMET protect from short-circuit conditions. These devices target high-reliability applications where a capacitor failing short cannot be tolerated. The internal fuse in the capacitor results in a fail open condition. Fuse activation will occur (at room temperature 25℃) within 1 second at fault currents of 4 A and higher.
