The Series 898 SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus 3.1, Type C is a mid-mount receptacle. It is 2x faster than USB 3.0 with more efficient data transfer, higher through-put, and improved I/O power efficiency. The USB receptacle features full metal housing with EMI/RFI prevention. The Type C connector has no polarization so cables, with Type C plugs, may be connected regardless of orientation. The 3.1 version offers up to 10 Gbps transfer speed but retains backward compatibility to previous USB versions.
