New Coda-Pin~(TM) surface mount, board to board connectors are probably the smallest available. With a height of just 1.5mm the connectors allow PCB's to be stacked allowing multiple connections in a very confined space. Each side of the connection is identical; one side is rotated through 180 degrees to make the connection. There are 13 sizes of connector, each featuring two rows from 10 to 80 pin positions. Harvey Davis, Managing Director of Coda Systems Ltd, the exclusive European distributor says 'Our main target market is the mobile communications/computing and PDA sector as well as mobile audio/visual equipment where PCB space is limited.
