Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) last week rolled out two new versions of its Duron mobile PC processor running at 1.2GHz and 1.1 GHz. AMD also announced today that Epson Direct and Hitachi have committed to using AMD processors in notebooks that will be marketed in Japan. On Monday, AMD introduced what it said is its highest-performing mobile chip to date―the Athlon 4 processor 1500+, available now in Compaq Compnter Corp.'s Presario 700 notebooks.
