With sluggish demand in key sectors and continued price pressure on commodity components, these companies are focusing more of their development efforts on less-price-sensitive applications like industrial products. Fujitsu Components America Inc. here, for example, has added a 6-amp relay to its power line for industrial and program- mable logic controller applications. Exhibiting high sensitivity and high insulation, the FTR-LY relay has nominal coil power of 170 milliwatts and a contact rating of 250 Vac. At 27.8 x 4.9 mm, it occupies 48 percent less space than the company's 8-A JS relay, Fujitsu said.
